Not quite right Sashi, they're actually debating in the Grand Final themselves, our fair President is indeed representing Australia in the Worlds Masters Final! Let's hope one of them causes a diplomatic incident we'll be talking about a full year later like Cramsie did. Info from Colm Flynn at flynn.debating.net/colmmain.htm and also Ciaran Lawlor has a blog he's updating several times daily at 1stpropinthefinal.blogspot.com/Round 1's over but can't find any Aussie results anywhere.

hey guys,
Worlds is running approximately 1.5-2hours behind schedule, so while the public debates are on I'll give ya the Aussie results...
Round 1, THW ban government funding of religious schools was a fairly successful round for Monash, with both Monash A and Monash B taking first, Monash D taking second and Monash C a third. This was a 9-point cumulative round.
Round 2, which has just finished, was: THB the UK should abolish its nuclear arsenal was also a competitive round which was a cumulative 8-point round for Monash. One win (monash b) two seconds - Monash A and Monash C and a third (Monash D)
But the tab is being released now, gotta run!

Well done to all the teams! They're great results for the first two rounds.
Good luck for the next 7 and to Vic (and Nic)!
(This is more addictive than the presidential race!)

Hi everyone,
well done to all those in Vancouver - an awesome first day!
And thanks Lauren for including the MUDS result - nice to see how we're doing, even if our forum has collapsed lately!

Hi everyone,
According to Colm Flynn, the highest ranked Aus team after Round 4 is Sydney B on 11. Yales A & B are on 12, leading the tab (the only teams he has listed on 12). ANU A is on 10.
Melb A was on 9 after Round 4. I cannot find any Monash teams on Colm's website, but will keep looking at others...
The motion for round 4 was: This house would criminalise the payment of Ransoms
The motion for round 5, currently being debated, is: This house supports independence for Quebec.
Will let you all know Round 5 results when they appear!

Tom and I are the first out of the Quebec debate so unfortunately we don't know many results yet. But after donutting this morning we won that one to put us on 10 points after 5 rounds.

Well done guys - great results so far!
(except for the shafting, that's not good, but being on 7 after 5 with a shafting is still pretty damn good!)

I am starting to think that people from the Northern hemisphere have something against Australian debaters, given how badly our results are getting published on their blogs....
According to Ciaran Lawlor, Monash B is on 8 after round 5 (which we know is wrong!), and it says Melbourne A won round 5 but is on 9 (and both of those things cannot be true if he was right that Melb A were on 9 after round 4!).
Sydney E is the top ranked Aus team on 13 points after round 5, but who knows, maybe that is wrong too!

Awesome news. It's fantastic that every single MAD team is still in contention with over half the rounds done. Could be a nervous break night for a few of you - I'm nervous sitting here following it all on the internet, must be bloody nerve racking up there. Looks good for Mushi and Roshena, I might be paying out a bit of money for once though Would be nice if the other Australian unis outside Victoria would post their results here, although Ciaran's doing a good job of covering the Sydney teams. I probably should know this, but who's ANU A again? Toby and James Robbo? Meanwhile, Jack Wright and Steve Hind from Sydney appear to be leading the Aussie charge for now, scooting along on 13 points. Not bad for an E team.
