I mentioned this offhandedly in another post but I think it would be something good to talk about for the sake of new debaters (or people like me who cant claim to be new but still struggle sometimes, especially with higher ranked rooms)
Writing speeches is quite difficult sometimes, especially when in BP and only having 15 minutes prep time, and often you have to write the speech during other peoples speeches. This is bad because you can often miss important rebuttal from the opposition or even points your opening/fellow team mates make.
Do people have a good way to write speeches and still be able to listen in to the speech going on at the same time? Does it just come with time? Or even more broadly, when adjudicating, is there an easy way to disect and argument down to the idea, analysis and evidence when the speaker isn't clear or you feel inferior to them?
